Twenty
(20) participants will be selected coming from
Benin, Burkina Faso, the Ivory Coast, Guinea,
Mali and Senegal as well as CORAF, IPD-AOS AND
REPA, organized in pairs made out of one member
from the institute's management team and one information
specialist, chosen according to the following
criteria:
- o be the member of a francophone African
research institute employing at least fifty
researchers;
- The management team member will be the
Director General, the Scientific Director
or the Head of Programmes, he will have a
basic knowledge of computer science;
- The information specialist must have been
in charge of the institute's information or
communication or computer systems or ICTs
for three years at least and have a good knowledge
of relational database software (Access or
other);
- He will have a good command of english;
- Have at least a bachelor level
- A complete application form must be submitted
before 6 April 2001.
The
selected participants will prepare a document
on their needs and requirements (Analysis and
input screens).
