Summary

Based on the recommendations of different meetings and seminars which requested that greater attention be given to the exchange of information at local level with regard to long-term agriculture development in ACP countries, CTA organised introduction courses in "Web design and use of electronic networks" and advanced courses in "Micro CDS-ISIS / Winisis" for research and agricultural training institutions between 1997 and 1999. After these courses, the participants were invited to update their pages or databases. As a follow-up to these courses, CTA is organising a series of advanced courses in "Web page design and Use of a web interface with databases".
