What services we offerHow to get CTA support to attend a non-CTA seminar Each year we sponsor the attendance of ACP nationals in regional and international seminars and conferences organised by other institutions. The meeting must be on a topic of relevance to ACP agricultural and rural development (particularly in relation to policy formulation, food safety, diversification, natural resources management, and market access). Priority is given to seminars held in ACP or EU countries. The sponsorship covers attendance for 3-7 days and includes payment of air tickets (economy class), hotel accommodation and living expenses. After the event, you will be expected to send CTA a brief write-up linked to the topic of the event. To apply for sponsorship, you need to be an ACP national involved in agricultural and rural development (e.g., a researcher or extension agent, or working in a relevant government body or NGO, or representing a farmers' organisation, a women's group, a youth association, or a private sector agro-industrial enterprise). We need to receive your application at least 2 months before the event. We particularly welcome applications from women. Note that sponsorship is not provided for people living in the country hosting the seminar. If there is a seminar you wish to attend, and you think you are eligible for CTA support, print out the SSP application form, fill it in and send it to CTA at our address in The Netherlands.
