How to become a CTA partner organisation

In selecting partner organisations, we are guided by the following criteria:

  • Effectiveness, efficiency and relevance of your work to our target group;
  • Established experience and competence in agricultural and rural development;
  • Ability to deliver products and services in a timely and effective manner;
  • Presence of women, young people and resource-poor farmers in the target group;
  • Complementarity between your work and that of CTA ;
  • The financial and/or technical contribution you could make to the partnership;
  • Likelihood of the partnership having a high multiplier effect;
  • Viability and sustainability of the planned activities or programmes at technical, organisational and financial levels.

How to submit a proposal

Project proposals must follow the requirements specified in the ‘Guidelines for proposal writing’. Additional organizational information, such as the last annual report, magazines, brochures, etc. may be attached to the proposal sent to CTA.

In keeping with our regulations, all project proposals from CTA are reviewed by an internal committee before being accepted. Their approval is also subject to availability of funds.

On approval, a contract is drawn up to formalise project activities and budget.
