Background:
ERI is carrying out applied research in the field of Renewable energies; namely solar, wind, biomass, mini- and micro- hydro-energies. ERI has a plan for applied research on utilizing of local resources and facilities with consideration to be an enduring foundation for rural development and environmental conservation in an attempt to bring about sustainable development in Sudan.
Objectives:
- To carryout applied research in the field of renewable energy.
- To utilize the national potentials and skills.
- To develop and improve the standard of the necessary manpower in the field of renewable energies.
- To build the capacity and the infrastruction of relevant institution in their field.
