Each year, CTA invites 15-20 experts in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) for a 2-3 day consultative meeting on ICT issues and policies in African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries. The central theme of this year’s consultative meeting is the use of ICTs in natural resource management. The meeting will look at changing paradigms, new technologies, emerging actors, and promising projects and initiatives involving ICTs in natural resource management, especially those concerning land tenure and access issues.
The programme of the consultative meeting starts with several public lectures by well-known experts. Based on extensive field experience, the speakers will discuss challenges and opportunities of using ICTs and highlight key policy issues. If you are interested in ICT issues and policies for development, and in particular in the challenges and opportunities for using ICTs in natural resource management, you are most welcome to attend these presentations on Wednesday 26 October from 14:00 to 18:00 hrs at Wageningen International Conference Centre [further details].
