Preparatory work and workshop structure
As part of the preparatory work, an e-mail discussion forum will be organised in September, aimed at collecting views and arriving at a consensus, where feasible, on:

  • the clarification/ definition of various evaluation concepts and terms
  • best practices for evaluating the performance and impact of information products and services

An inventory of conceptual and operational frameworks for evaluating information products and services will be prepared to serve as additional background material for the consultation in October.

During the Consultation in Bonn lead papers will be presented in plenary sessions and working groups will be set up to allow participants to arrive at clear decisions and concrete results. The Technical Consultation will be conducted in English.
