Objectives


OBJECTIVES OF THE SEMINAR

  • Identify priority information needs for implementing food and nutrition programme in the region
  • To identify priority activities to facilitate implementation of food and nutrition programmes and improved food and nutrition security in the region
  • To identify information and communication tools to be used to facilitate the implementation of food and nutrition security programmes in the Pacific
  • To derive implementations for the future programmes of the CTA as well as other stakeholders in the Pacific region.

IV. EXPECTED OUTPUTS

  • Information and Communication Strategies for improving food and nutrition security in the Pacific highlighting recommendations to governments, policy makers and key stakeholders on Information and Communication tools required for the implementation of food and nutrition security programmes
  • Seminar report; seminar proceedings; press conference/regional press releases.

V. EXPECTED OUTCOMES

  • Identification of key constraints to food and nutrition security including constraints to implementing food and nutrition plans in the Pacific region
  • Priority recommendations for actions which can address these constraints, in the area of information and communication tools
  • Potential interventions by CTA and stakeholders in the Pacific Region
