Programme

The two-day programme for the seminar was planned
and designed around presentations and discussion
periods on the theme of strengthening the seafood
processing / exporting sector to improve trading
opportunities. The programme focussed on three
sub-themes:

strengthening the fishing industry’s capacity
to develop and implement their HACCP programmes
-
strengthening the capacity of the national competent
authorities on ruling the sanitary conditions
of fish products
-
identifying opportunities to expand export activities
into value added fish products and improved
marketing
