| Objectives |
-
To assist the ACP countries in their negotiations
for the fishery agreements in respect of negotiating
frameworks, the agreements and the implementation
and monitoring towards achieving a sustainable
development;
-
Facilitate the exchange of information among
the coastal ACP countries highly dependent on
fisheries on production, trade and agreements;
-
Share
experience on the general negotiating framework
with WTO, EU in view of strengthening the position
of the ACP countries and regions in formulating
consistent positions in the negotiations;
-
Strengthen
links between the various stakeholders involved
in the fisheries sector at national, regional
and international level;
-
Identify key information and communication strategies
and tools which can enhance the capacity of
ACP stakeholders involved in negotiations.
