OrganisationCTA's current organisational structure dates back only a few years, to 2002. That's when our Strategic Plan 2001-2005, based on the revised mandate under the Cotonou Agreement 2000, came into effect. The departments and their programmes of activities had to be reorganised to reflect the requirements of the new mandate. Four departments became three, and a new unit, Planning and Corporate Services, was added to monitor, integrate and evaluate the activities of these three departments: Information Products and Services Department (Programme 1), working on: Communication Channels and Services Department (Programme 2), working on: Information and Communication Management (ICM) Skills and Systems Department (Programme 3), working on: The reorganisation also involved changes to the former Administration and Finance Department. Its new name - Administrative Services, Budget and Human Resources Development - reflects its new responsibilities for staff training. Its financial responsibilities are limited to overseeing budget management and helping the Director prepare documents related to the budget process. There is a separate unit - Accounts and Financial Control Unit - for making payments, managing CTA's finances and liaising with external auditors.
