Supervisory structure

CTA's current supervisory structure was described in the Cotonou Agreement, 2000.

The ACP-EU Council of Ministers sits at the top. Its members are drawn from two bodies - the ACP Council of Ministers and the EU Council of Ministers. Reporting to these two Councils are the ACP Committee of Ambassadors and the Committee of Permanent Representatives to the EU. These two Committees jointly make up the ACP-EU Committee of Ambassadors.

The ACP-EU Committee of Ambassadors is CTA's supervisory authority.

CTA is funded by the EU.
