Publications Distribution Service (PDS)

Question and Answer Service

The Question-and-Answer Service (QAS), formerly operated by CTA is now almost fully devolved to ACP countries and regions. Work by CTA to develop and support new services will continue. They will be further integrated with the SDI programme.

Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI)

This is a current awareness service through which research scientists are regularly provided with specific up-to-date information on their research topic.

CTA's CD-ROM Programme

CTA supports the access of research centres, NGO's, Farmers' Organisations and the Private Sector to core agricutural databases through the Internet or through CD-ROM.

Rural Radio Programme

CTA's Rural Radio Resource Pack (RRRP) project is designed to encourage the use of rural radio to disseminate scientific and technical information. Five RRRPs are produced every year.

Co-seminars

CTA’s support for the joint organization of seminars to improve the availability of and access to information on priority topics for ACP agricultural and rural development by promoting the exchange of experiences may take several forms. [more]

Seminar Support Programme

Through this programme, ACP nationals attend regional and international conferences on topics of relevance to their area of work. The programme also helps to ensure that ACP views are expressed at international conferences dealing with agriculture and rural development issues.

Support to non-CTA training schemes

In addition to CTA's own training courses, CTA supports ACP nationals to attend training courses on agricultural ICM themes organised by other institutions.
